FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions)
When Multiplying or Dividing card values do I round up or down?
Neither, when modifying any value in the game Gaia Cards, exact values must be represented and written down or remembered for the rest of the game. An example is applying the card (Fall (095)) to a row containing a (Black Bear (016-019)) card. Fall divides the attack and defense values of all cards on that row, the bears values are ‘9’ using exact math we get an attack and defense of ‘4.5’ This logic follows all card values, however a half a point on it’s own is not viable for much in resources and biome points unless compounded with another percentage somewhere else, but a card with ‘0.5’ defense after all has been taken into account at the end of a turn is still on the field.
Can I use the ‘Fool’ caveat to play a card from my discard pile?
Yes! and you are encouraged to do so, ‘Fool’ replaces a card that has been played wherever they are in the match, this means that if you had played ‘Crafty’ the ‘Fool’ would be placed in that cards exact location without the ability to move, and that opponent would take control of that new ‘Fool’ card for the game. If the pre-played animal card is in the discard pile, it follows that the ‘Fool’ card is now in the discard and the pre-played animal card is now back in the players hand. This is true for any other instance no matter where the pre-played card is located.
With the red panda ‘Sweet Tooth’ caveat, what constitutes a fruit?
Great Question! With limited real estate on our cards, unfortunately some things have to be left to house rules, players mutual intuition, and of course looking things up… If a fruit is pictured on a primary row card it will qualify for the sweet tooth caveat. A list of all current fruit cards are as follows
032 Huckleberries
165 Winterberry
168 Blackberries
173 Red Banana Plant
